Superior Court violator arrested for narcotics distribution within a school zone
CENTRAL FALLS – On February 12, 2016 members of the Central Falls Police Special Investigative Unit (SIU) executed a court authorized search warrant upon the first floor apartment of 517 High Street.
Upon entry detectives came in contact with the renter of the dwelling identified as Jayhass Gomes, 22, who was also the target of the investigation. A search of the residence was conducted during which detectives located and seized a sizeable measure of crack cocaine and $2,463.00 in cash.
Gomes was taken into custody and later transported to 6th District Court for his arraignment on the charge of manufacture and delivery of cocaine, and distribution of narcotics within a school zone.
Gomes was held without bail on the new felonies charges, will served 30 days as a District Court violator and held without bail as a Superior Court violator.
