RIDOT TO REOPEN SIMMONSVILLE AVENUE BRIDGE IN JOHNSTON

On Tuesday, November 27 at 10:30 a.m, Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) Director Peter Alviti, Jr. will join with Johnston Mayor Joseph Polisena to celebrate the reopening of the structurally deficient Simmonsville Avenue Bridge, which was replaced in less than five months.

The event will take place at the bridge which is located approximately 0.5 miles from the intersection of Simmonsville Road and Plainfield Pike (Route 14), adjacent to Steve’s Flowers and Garden Center, 149 Simmonsville Avenue, Johnston.
