The Rhode Island State Police Museum Foundation is again hosting Santa at the Museum
this Saturday, December 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Santa Claus will be available for
photos with children, while also listening to their Christmas wishes, and the museum
will be open to visitors.

State Police Captain Matthew C. Moynihan, President of the Rhode Island State Police
Museum Foundation, said the event is free and open to the public, however visitors
are asked to bring donations of new, unwrapped toys that will be delivered to Hasbro
Children’s Hospital and given to children who will be spending Christmas in the
hospital this year.

Santa at the Museum is a popular family event sponsored each year by the Rhode
Island State Police Museum Foundation. There will be hot chocolate, cookies and
other light refreshments available.

Visitors also are invited to purchase the 2017 Rhode Island State Police Christmas
ornament as well as other merchandise from the Rhode Island State Police Museum
Foundation that make great last-minute holiday gifts.
