Raimondo to Preview Education Budget Priority at Smithfield High School
PROVIDENCE, R.I – Governor Gina M. Raimondo, joined by Education Commissioner Ken Wagner, Representative Joseph McNamara and Senator Stephen Archambault, will preview one of her budget priorities at Smithfield High School on Monday, February 1, 2016.
The Governor’s budget will make significant investments in growth to build a new economy where we attract and grow high-skill, high-wage jobs. One of the Governor’s key focus areas is investing in education and workforce development to build the skills Rhode Islanders need for success in 21st century industries.
On Tuesday, February 2, Raimondo will submit her budget proposal for Fiscal Year 2017.
