Raimondo Discusses Deal to Bring Thousands of Jobs to 195 Innovation District
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Governor Gina M. Raimondo join representatives from Wexford Science & Technology, Cambridge Innovation Center, Brown University, and Mayor Jorge Elorza at Brown University’s Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics offices.
“This is the first major project. It’s a transformative project,” Raimondo said during a news conference.
They discuss Wexford’s agreement with the state and anchor tenants Cambridge Innovation Center and Brown University to build an Innovation Center and hotel on Providence.
Developers have been awarded more than $20 million in state incentives, The I-195 Redevelopment District Commission approved the funds Monday.
