Raimondo to Announce Initiative to Save RI College Students $5 Million on Textbooks

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Governor Gina M. Raimondo will join Rhode Island College President
Frank Sánchez, and Chief Innovation Officer Richard Culatta tomorrow to announce
a statewide Open Textbook Initiative.The Rhode Island Open Textbook Initiative
challenges higher education institutions around the state to move toward openly
licensed teaching materials over five years.
