Providence Named No.1 Most Exciting Mid-Sized City

Movoto.com cites young population and artistic and culinary assets

PROVIDENCE, RI – Providence has a new distinction to add to its list of honors: Rhode Island’s Capital City has been ranked the ‘Most Exciting Mid-Sized City’ in the United States by Movoto.com. Real Estate website Motovo.com cited Providence’s youthfulness, live music, nightlife, restaurants and outdoor activities. «Despite being one of the oldest cities in the U.S. (hailing from 1636), Providence has one of the youngest populations of any city we looked at,» according to Movoto.com, a website that promotes real estate listings across the country. Providence edged out Charleston, SC, Fort Collins, CO and Eugene, OR to take the top spot on the list.
