Pistorius Sells House To Pay Lawyers
The South African Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius sold the house where he died his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, whose murder is being tried, to pay lawyers.
Pistorius’s lawyer, Brian Webber, explained that Pistorius had to make that decision by «the unexpected prolongation of trial beyond the three weeks initially planned».
The Pretoria High Court judges Pistorius for the death of his girlfriend from last March 3. Although it was intended to end on Thursday, the end was extended to April 4.
The House, valued at $450,000 and located in a luxurious estate of Pretoria, is the same that where a shootout ended with the life of Steenkamp.
Pistorius, a successful Paralympic sprinter, became the first athlete without legs to debut at an Olympic Games in London 2012.
