ObamaCare replacement bill approved in House
Washington D.C. House Republicans passed their health care reform bill Thursday. The replacement bill, the American Health Care Act, received 217 votes, with every Democrat and some Republicans in vulnerable seats voting against it.
The revised American Health Care Act passed on a 217-213 vote. It heads next to the Senate, where it faces an uncertain fate.
“A lot of us have been waiting seven years to cast this vote,” House Speaker Paul Ryan said Thursday.
