Lost Malaysian Airplane: Search Broadened & Oil Stains Discarded
Azharuddin Abdul Rahman, General Director of the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia, was on hand to talk to the press.
Malaysian officials say the search area for the Malaysia Airlines plane that disappeared last Friday en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, has been amplified on the east coast, and extended to some areas of the west coast.
Oil samples found in the South China Sea have been discarded.
The officials added that the two passengers traveling on the stolen European passports were not of Asian appearance.
The Malaysian police had previously said that they thought they had identified one of the two passengers but revealed no identity.
