Governor, First Gentleman to Celebrate College Signing Day

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Governor Gina M. Raimondo and First Gentleman Andy Moffit will
visit Cumberland High School tomorrow to celebrate students’ postsecondary plans
as part of 2017 College Signing Day. Inspired by the tradition of student athletes
committing to a university, former First Lady Michelle Obama started the national
Reach Higher campaign last year, expanding the celebration to include every student
who continues his or her education beyond high school.
