Governor to Announce Manufacturing Initiative

PROVIDENCE, RI – Governor Gina M. Raimondo will visit Luca + Danni tomorrow to release details on the Rhode Island Manufacturing Initiative, a comprehensive package of proposals that are designed to expand modern manufacturing and ensure that Rhode Islanders have access to workforce training programs to learn the necessary skills to compete in the advanced economy.

The Governor has made revitalizing Rhode Island’s manufacturing industry a key focus for her administration. In her State of the State address and FY 2018 budget submission, she has proposed new initiatives that will not only assist in growing the manufacturing industry in Rhode Island, but also train Rhode Island’s workers with the skills needed to fill these jobs.
