Evan England to Serve as Director of Communications at Rhode Island Treasury

PROVIDENCE, RI — General Treasurer Seth Magaziner today announced his selection
of Evan England to serve as his administration’s Director of Communications.
«Evan England is an accomplished communications professional whose talent and
dedication
have distinguished his previous work on my campaign and for the City of Providence,»
Treasurer Magaziner said. «It is my pleasure to welcome Evan to the Treasurer’s
Office.»
England currently serves as the City of Providence’s Director of Communications,
and previously served as Press Secretary to Providence Mayor Jorge O. Elorza. In
2014, England directed Magaziner’s winning campaign for Treasurer. England’s previous
experience includes political and communications work in Massachusetts.
«I am excited to join Treasurer Magaziner’s team and to support Rhode Island Treasury’s
work to promote economic development and financial stability for all Rhode Islanders,»
England said.
England, a Providence resident, will begin working in the Treasurer’s Office on
September 19.
