Cranston Police Identify Operator in Union Avenue Fatality

The Cranston Police have identified the deceased operator of a 2007 Honda CRV as Hector Alicea, age 36, of 794 Plainfield Street, Providence, Rhode Island. Alicea was travelling west on Union Avenue shortly after 3:10am in the early morning of May 7th when his vehicle veered into the eastbound lane and struck a 2005 Lexus RX resulting in a head on collision. Alicea was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The accident investigation continues as to any remaining factors.
