CONGRESSMEN LANGEVIN & CICILLINE ON STATEWIDE TV PROGRAM “DEMOCRATS DISCUSS”
Warwick, R.I. –Congressman James Langevin and Congressman David N. Cicilline joined stateDemocratic Chair Joseph M. McNamara in taping of “Democrats Discuss.” The monthly, half-hour cable television program begins airing statewide tomorrow, November 25, 2015. In it, the guests dive into recent international terrorist attacks in Paris and ways in which the nation is protecting itself. The panel also discusses cybersecurity issues, staunching the rise of radicalism, and domestic jobs programs – including Governor Raimondo’s Real Jobs for Rhode Island initiative launched this week.
“Democrats Discuss” is carried statewide by Cox and Verizon and in the East Bay on Full Channel networks. Next month’s guest panelist will be Senate President M. Teresa Paiva Weed, where she will be discussing work on education over the last session and plans for the upcoming session. Previous guests have included Mayor Diossa, R.I. Representative Marvin Abney, House Speaker Nicholas Mattiello, and the heads of the R.I. Association of Democratic City + Town Chairs.
The program can be viewed on Statewide Interconnect C – Cox 15 and Verizon 34 Friday at 9 p.m.; Verizon 31 Wednesday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m.; and Cox 18 Wednesday at 5 p.m. (viewable in Warwick, West Warwick, Coventry, Exeter, North Kingstown, West Greenwich and East Greenwich.) It also runs on Full Channel 9 Sunday at 10 a.m. and Monday through Friday at 5 p.m. , where it can be seen in the East Bay.
