Christie Brinkley talks turning 60, flaunts figure in sexy swimsuit on People cover

Christie Brinkley doesn’t look a day over … young.

«I’m actually excited about turning 60,» the supermodel told People about her big day on Feb. 2. «I feel on top of my game.»

While she looks stunning in a turquoise one-piece bathing suit on the cover of the mag, Brinkley didn’t go as far as wearing a bikini, but not because she couldn’t pull it off.

«My kids would be so embarrassed!» she said. «In private I may wear a bikini, but at the public beach with my kids I would change bathing suits because they do not want to be hanging out with some old broad in a bikini.»

Far from an old broad, the Sports Illustrated model has contained her youthful glow over the years.

«She looks phenomenal,» S.I.’s Senior Editor, MJ Day told People. «She has the legs of a 30-year-old and the face of an angel. She’s what you aspire to look like at 60. She’s mind-blowingly beautiful.»

The day after Brinkley turns the big 6-0, Sports Illustrated will celebrate its anniversary with «Sports Illustrated Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful» on NBC, which will highlight the mag’s most popular cover girls throughout the years. Of course, Brinkley is among the list of beauties.
