Central Falls Housing Authority earns HUD High Performer Honors for 2015

CENTRAL FALLS – Today, the Central Falls Housing Authority (CFHA) announced its
recognition as a Public Housing Assessment System (PHAS) High Performer for 2015.
PHAS is a program implemented by the United States Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD) to measure the performance of public housing agencies across the
country. CFHA received a score of 97 out of 100 possible points.

«The Central Falls Housing Authority has served a crucial role in our community for
thousands of residents over the years,» said Central Falls Mayor, James Diossa. «I’d
like to congratulate the hard working staff and commissioners at the housing
authority for providing top quality service to the people of this city, especially
Director Tina Sullivan. This is an important recognition for the city that
highlights our dedication to meeting a high standard on behalf of taxpayers.»

The PHAS scoring system evaluates housing authorities in several categories
including, physical inspections, financial condition, management operation, and
capital fund programs. CFHA received perfect scores in all but one of these
categories.

the residents we serve. The score demonstrates that working as a team for a common

PHAS has helped the delivery of services in public housing and enhances trust in the
public system by providing a management tool for effectively and fairly measuring
the performance of an Authority in essential housing operations. This is CFHA’s 8th
consecutive year of earning High Performer Honors. To qualify for High Performer
Honors, Authorities must meet or surpass a score of 90 on a 100 point scale.
