Chris Evans: ‘I’ll take a little break from acting’ after fulfilling Marvel contract
Actor Chris Evans told Glamour UK that he plans to take a break from acting after his contract with Marvel is up.
Savor Chris Evans on screen while you can.
The «Captain America» star is planning a hiatus from acting once he’s done filming his adventures about the patriotic superhero, the 32-year-old hunk told Glamour UK magazine.
The ‘Captain America’ star plans to focus more time on directing. «I think when I’m done with this Marvel contract, I’ll take a little break from acting,» Evans said. «With acting, you’re one piece in a very big puzzle. It’s like you helped buy a gift but you don’t know what the gift is, so you come back and see the movie. Sometimes it’s nice, sometimes it’s tragic.»
The actor hopes to change directions and take his chances at directing.
«The [directing] process, you’re involved in every single decision. If I hadn’t done it, I’d be really kicking myself,» Evans told the magazine about «1:30 Train,» his directing debut. «At the time, it was a daunting task or a number of reasons, but in hindsight it was the right move.»
Evans also stars in the film alongside Alice Eve.
His next Marvel caper, «Captain America Winter Soldier,» opens in theaters April 4.
