Brown Owes Three Times The Amount of Cash His Campaign Has on Hand
Brown’s record of financial mismanagement would be a disaster for Rhode Island
PROVIDENCE, RI — Matt Brown is so deep in debt that he owes three times what his campaign has in the bank. According to his latest fundraising report, Brown only has about $80,000 cash on hand and owes nearly $300,000 to campaign staff, consultants and loan repayments.
“We can’t trust Matt Brown with our state’s nine billion dollar budget and more than 10,000 employees — he can’t even pay his few campaign staff on time,” said Emily Samsel, Raimondo campaign press secretary. “Matt Brown’s most recent fundraising report should be a red flag for voters. Imagine the damage this kind of financial mismanagement could do to Rhode Island.”
