ACI Prisoner Accused Of Assaulting Guard

Rhode Island – A prisoner at the State Prison of Cranston is facing multiple charges including assault for allegedly assaulting a correctional officer, on his first day of work on Sunday. Anthony Tavares faced trial in 2001 accused of stabbing to death his social worker. Tavares was held at the Eleanor Slater Hospital after he was found not guilty of murder by reason of insanity. Once in the hospital Tavares was accused of hitting and stabbing an employee with a pencil other patients, one of them in the eye.

Rhode Island – Un prisionero en la cárcel estatal de Cranston está enfrentando múltiples cargos incluido el de agresión por supuestamente agredir a un oficial correccional, en su primer día de trabajo el Domingo. Anthony Tavares enfrento juicio en el 2001 acusado de matar a puñaladas a su trabajadora social. Tavares fue recluido en el Hospital Eleanor Slater luego de que fuera declarado no culpable del homicidio por razón de insanidad mental. Una vez en el hospital Tavares fue acusado de pegarle a un empleado y apuñalar a otros pacientes con un lápiz, a uno de ellos en el ojo.
