CRANSTON POLICE TO INCREASE PATROLS THIS WEEKEND FOR STRICT DUI ENFORCEMENT

The Cranston Police Department will staff additional officers from Friday, May 16, 2014 through Sunday, May 18, 2014 to deter, detect and arrest impaired operators within the City of Cranston.   Officers from the Cranston Police Department will work in conjunction with Police Officers and Troopers assigned to the Southern Rhode Island DUI Task Force.  The SRI DUI Task Force will have more than 35 Officers and Troopers on patrol in ten communities during this weekend of May 16-18, 2014.

Please remember if you are going to drink, think about designating a sober driver, taking a taxi, or staying at a friend’s home; but, do not drink and drive.

Motorists are reminded that they can immediately report dangerous drivers or hazardous roadway conditions to the police by dialing 9-1-1 or *77 on their cell phone.

Make the right choice!  Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over!
