Rhode Island – A man from Swansea, Mass. who robbed  five banks in Rhode Island and Massachusetts over a period of 26 days in 2012 was sentenced to 105 months in federal prison. Scott Niemic 36, pled guilty to charges of bank robbery in October. Authorities said Niemic handed threatening notes to the teller in the bank to be handed the money, but never showed a weapon. After his prison term, Niemic serve 3 years of supervised release, according to the announcement of the United States Attorney for Rhode Island, Peter F. Neronha.
