Providence – Fifteen years have passed since the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 a day that forever change our nation’s history.
At 8:30 a.m., the anniversary ceremony will begin at the State House Bell Area with Governor Gina Raimondo the Rhode Island State Police and other dignitaries to mark the 15th Anniversary of September 11th.

Mr. Mike Montecalvo, Anchor/Reporter at WPRI TV-12 news will be the Master of Ceremonies. Speakers will be The Honorable Gina M. Raimondo, Governor; The Honorable Jack Reed, United States Senator; The Honorable James R. Langevin, United States Congressman, The Honorable David N. Cicilline, United States Congressman; Colonel Steven G. O’Donnell, Superintendent of the Rhode Island State Police; and family members of the victims.

Members of law enforcement, the military, and the fire service will honor Rhode Islanders who died on American Airlines Flight No. 11 and United Airlines Flight No. 175, which struck the World Trade Center Towers on September 11, 2001, and Rhode Islanders, who served in the United States Armed Forces and were killed while serving in the war on terror since September 11, 2001.
The city of Central Falls will remember those who lives were lost on 9/11., Mayor James Diossa, alongside police, fire, and elected officials, will hold a memorial ceremony marking 15 years since the heinous terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001. At Central Falls Public Safety Complex 8:30 a.m.
