On Tuesday morning the Governor Raimondo listen to a group of students
who have taken advantage of the Promise Program.

The Governor would like to expand it to also include the last two years at Rhode Island College, as well as adult learners at CCRI for an additional $5 million.

“This initial promise program is five or six million dollars, a drop in the bucket in the context of our budget. In addition, it is taking in millions in federal money,” Raimondo said on Tuesday. “The result is a 40 percent increase in enrollment, a tripling in our graduation rate and thousands of people who are going to be able to get a job.”
