Parkland, Florida Mayor Christine Hunschofsky will visit Central Falls, Rhode Island on Monday, April 8th to share her experiences dealing with the tragic mass shooting incident at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and how her community came together to support victims and advocate for school and gun safety legislation.

Mayor Hunschofsky is visiting as a guest of Central Falls Mayor James Diossa, both of whom are active with the U.S. Conference of Mayors which has advocated for measures to better safeguard schools and reduce gun violence. Mayor Hunschofsky, Mayor Diossa, Central Falls police, Central Falls School District representatives, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense Rhode Island, Young Voices, and community leaders will participate in a community conversation moderated by WPRI-12’s Caroline Goggin.

The event will take place at Central Falls High School, 24 Summer St, Central Falls, RI 02863 from 6:00-7:00pm
