PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Governor Gina M. Raimondo will join the New England Board of
Higher Education to host the first meeting of a new regional Commission on Higher
Education and Employability, designed to work with the private sector to improve
the career readiness of New England college and university graduates.
New England is world-renowned for its high-quality colleges and universities, but
employers remain concerned about a growing need for qualified, skilled workers,
particularly in technology-intensive and growth-oriented industries. Raimondo will
serve as the chair of the Commission.
