PROVIDENCE – Earning her sixth labor endorsement, and second within the last week, Gina has been endorsed for governor by the Local 57 Operating Engineers. Representing over 1150 workers and retirees in Rhode Island, the Operating Engineers are backing Gina in the Democratic Primary because she has the record and skills to tackle the biggest challenges facing our struggling state.
In a letter to the campaign, Jim White, Local 57 Business Manager and President said that Gina’s “work experience and tenacity will make her a very proficient Governor.”
“The outpouring of support from across Rhode Island has been incredible,” said Gina. “It’s an honor to have so many working men and women standing with me in this campaign. I’m running for Governor so that we can get to work rebuilding our middle class with the kinds of good jobs we used to have in this state. With the highest unemployment rate in the country, we can’t wait any longer to act. We need results.”
