TOLMAN STATEMENT ON THE COMMITTEE TO REDUCE GUN VIOLENCE REPORT
Massachusetts – Following the report issued by the Committee to Reduce Gun
Violence, Warren Tolman, candidate for Attorney General, released the
following statement:
«I applaud the work of the Committee to Reduce Gun Violence. They have
developed important recommendations to strengthen and streamline gun
regulations, add new training requirements, improve security at our
schools, and repair our crumbling mental health system. As Attorney
General, reducing gun violence in our communities would be one of my top
priorities. That’s why I proposed using the existing power in the AG’s
office to require all new guns sold in Massachusetts to have fingerprint
trigger locks. This is a commonsense safety measure that would make our
homes, schools and communities safer for our children.»
