Washington rescue teams are prepared for another day's search in Snohomish County where on Saturday a devastating landslide occurred. Dogs, aircraft and bulldozers have been used to search for survivors, but the work has been very slow and dangerous due to conditions similar to quicksand. Shooting At A Naval Base Leaves Two Dead

A shooting at the world's largest naval base in Norfolk, Virginia, left two people dead. A spokesman for the naval base reported that a sailor, aboard the destroyer USS Mahan, had died by gunfire, until the guards killed a civilian suspect.
